Performs all functions necessary to register outpatients and outreach patients. Performs outpatient and outreach patient test order entry. Compiles and audits for accuracy registration information and forwards to patient accounts and medical records. Labels specimens for testing. Assists patients, clients, physicians, nurses, and/or other departments as needed via phone and/or in person.
EducationHigh school education or equivalent GED. Requires some knowledge of medical terminology. Skill in use of computers including word processing. ExperienceRequires six months customer service experience. Experience as a phlebotomist may be substituted for Customer Service experience. Prefer 1 year of experience in a medical setting.(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience).
