System Support Technician 2
The System Support Technician 2 assists with installation and maintenance of equipment, performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots hardware and software, provides end user training on OS and device control platforms, and documents all assignments and movement of hardware within district.
High school diploma or (additional education preferred) Associate Degree and/or technical training with a Chrome OS/Windows background, etc. Minimum one year experience in maintaining computers, printers and networking systems Windows OS, iOS, & Chrome OS). Working knowledge of Chrome OS and Windows OS. Chromebook repair knowledge skills are plus. Experience in any computer hardware physical repair. Excellent documentation skills. Problem solving skills and solid troubleshooting skills. Possess organizational and communication skills. Ability to work well with other people in a team-oriented environment. Ability to install/deploy Apple, Chrome and Windows based computers. Desire to learn new skills and willingness to seek additional skills. Must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision. Good time management skills. Ability and willingness in training end users and student interns. Familiar with system installation, configuration and maintenance. Basic knowledge and experience in network and/or server equipment. Ability to do work that often requires a ladder, lifting heavy objects and moving of equipment. Valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle that will be used on the job. History of good job attendance. Must pass criminal background check.
