Currently recruiting a Strength and Conditioning Coach (SCC) in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to optimize human performance and health readiness of active duty soldiers and support our nation' s national security mission.DUTIES OF THE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH:
Coordinate, execute, and manage physical performance optimization programs within the framework of the unit s approved training/operational schedule, battle rhythm, and culture.Coordinate and assist the Lead SSC to develop, coordinate, and execute approved training programs for Soldiers with physical limitations that are medically cleared for strength and conditioning training/reconditioning.Coordinate with the Lead SCC to ensure all strength and conditioning education and services are synchronized and integrated with approved education and services provided by the Performance Team.Coach and mentor the unit fitness leaders.Provide recommended and approved instruction and guidance to Soldiers and unit leadership on physical strength and conditioning and injury prevention in coordination with the unit and the Performance Team.Identify and direct unit personnel with an apparent new or undiagnosed medical condition to the appropriate medical professionals for evaluation and treatment.Collect data and prepare documentation and reporting of data in accordance with guiding instructions.Participate in program quality assurance of programs per guiding instructions to ensure programs are aligned with industry standards.Participate in periodic meetings with the Performance Team and unit leadership to review and evaluate physical training program.Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement to the Lead SCC.Perform other tasks, within the scope of the SCC s position description, as assigned by the Performance Team.Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement to the Lead SCC.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH:
Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university.Certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) as a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC).2 years of relevant employment experience in the last 5 years with groups of athletes or Department of Defense/Homeland Security/Justice entities focused on sport or mission-performance goals.BLS (in-person)U.S. Citizenship (required for access to government systems)Physically able to hike in an austere environment and terrain (e.G., rocky, no running water, no shelter, no bathroom, no climate control, inclement weather, loud, smoky, etc.) while carrying their own backpack with necessary supplies on occasion (< 20% of the time). Be physically able to lift and manipulate loads and weight plates up to 45 pounds.
