The Insurance Intern brings a basic understanding of the insurance process and interest in an insurance-related career.
A successful candidate will be bright, curious and eager to learn. He or she will be a quick study and have an energetic spirit. He or she must also be able to communicate effectively with clients and the executive team.
Candidates will start part-time. Full-time employment opportunities may be considered upon graduation.
Knowledge of the insurance lingo
Understanding the insurance purchasing process from the producer and consumer standpoint
Understanding of circumstances that make various policies a good investment for a client
Responsibilities will include:
Managing and servicing a pipeline of diverse insurance products
Managing the quoting process for a variety of insurance products, including home, auto, health, and life
Ensuring clients are onboarded quickly to the insurance product of their choice
Serve as a main point of contact for all client requests and concerns regarding their insurance product
Have a desire to have a career in insurance or client servicing
Have a proven record of managing multi-faceted projects
Be process driven and attentive to details
Be self motivated and able to take initiative
Strive to deliver results consistently and on time
Be comfortable using Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office
Be able to come to our Perimeter office once or twice a week
Be willing to work about 20 hours per week during the summer
