The Research Foundation for SUNY’s Migrant Education Tutorial Support Services Program (METS) at SUNY Cortland has an immediate opening for a Migrant Educator. This position provides direct academic support and instructional services, offers social support, coordinate services with various agencies as needed for students and families in Cortland and surrounding counties. This position is approximately 37.5 hours a week and will provide day-time and evening, in-home and in-school, ESL and tutoring.
Required Qualifications: High School diploma or its equivalent; Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize multiple technological platforms, including email, micro soft and google suite, internal data and timecard reporting systems, and leverage various digital communication platforms; Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge and skill concepts to children and young adults; Demonstrated ability to work and relate well with children through the age of 21 and their parents/families; Reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; Background in education/instruction; Spanish fluency; Demonstrated experience working with people of diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
The starting annual salary is $31,200.00 with a comprehensive benefit package available including health, dental, vision, retirement and paid time off.
