The AVP of Patient Experience has operational oversight for TUHS patient experience. The AVP of Patient Experience has responsibilities for Temple University Hospital, TUH-Episcopal Campus and TUH- Jeanes Campus, Fox Chase Cancer Center, Temple Faculty Physician Plan and Temple Physicians Incorporated. This position reports to the Chief Nurse Executive/Chief Experience Officer for TUHS and partners in the leadership, design and implementation of initiatives that fulfill the mission of the office of patient experience to ensure service excellence is the sum of all interactions by establishing processes to enhance patient perceptions of care and fostering a culture of togetherness. This position enhances patient perceptions of care through leading TUH operational initiatives as well as operational oversight of all TUHS patient experience training programs and has oversight of the implementation of evidence based strategies aimed at improving the overall experience and brand of TUHS. This position also represents the voice of the internal and external customers and collaborates with the Chief Nurse Executive/Chief Experience Officer, the physician lead for patient experience and other senior leaders, medical staff and departmental directors to ensure that all patient experiences at TUH embody the highest level of service and compassion. The AVP uses data to tell a story and is able to present in motivating fashion to create awareness and change behavior.
Bachelors Degree: Nursing, Physician Assistant, PT/OT or other clinical related field. (Required)
Masters Degree: in Healthcare, Business, Hospitality or other related field. (Required)
5 Years experience in a leadership role in Healthcare, Customer Service/Hospitality, Communications or other related field (Required)
3 Years experience in value-based purchasing, HCAHPS, CMS and patient satisfaction surveys (Preferred)
License in profession (RN, PA-C, PT/OT etc) (Required)
CPXP Cert Patient Experience Prof (Preferred)
