Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an exceptional career opportunity for a Senior Vice President and Sector Leader of our Multifamily sector. This opportunity will be located in one of our major markets providing key leadership and business development expertise focused in the Multifamily industry. This leader guides strategic and operational excellence for the market sector, determining the team’s go-to-market strategy, developing the execution team, and being the lead executive contact for our multifamily customers and equity partners. The role will partner with corporate, division and region development, capital markets, A+E and construction leaders across the company to identify, plan, and successfully secure and execute projects across all geographic regions of the US.
This position reports to Chief Investment Officer, and responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining Ryan’s brand as a nationally recognized multifamily expert, executing and maintaining a sector-specific strategic plan, providing strategic leadership and executive oversight to the teams across the regions to identify and pursue projects, helping build teams in regions where we do not yet have multifamily skillsets, developing and maintaining the marketing and sales strategy for the sector, and building and nurturing the relationships for current and future multifamily debt and equity groups (with a specific focus on programmatic capital relationships).
We are seeking highly motivated individuals with 10+ years of relevant experience in a medium to large organization with matrixed responsibilities leading business deals and overall business strategy. Additional specific experience in the following functions is preferred: Real estate development, multifamily operations, construction/design/planning (with a construction or combined construction and design firm), investment sales, portfolio/investment fund management, or overseeing these functions for a large organization.
Successful candidates will have advanced knowledge and proven ability to sell and manage the development, design, and construction of multifamily projects; be recognized as an expert in the industry with a track record of establishing new relationships and maintaining positive customer relationships; have proven financial skills and knowledge of project costs and feasibility; and will have strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills. Candidates must be willing to travel regularly. Successful candidates will likely have a bachelor’s degree in real estate development, construction management, engineering, real estate management, business or related field. Advanced degrees are preferred.
