A background in Medicare or Medicaid is preferred.Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:* Acts as a partner in the business planning process at the business unit and enterprise level.* Leverages customer and market information to proactively identify and assess new business opportunities to create customer value and profitably grow the business.* Manages complex, high priority business questions/issues, and identifies/creates customer and market insights that can drive solutions.* Delivers strategies and recommends plans that connect overall corporate growth and business objectives with marketing/product/distribution strategies and programs.* Develops and executes annual Research & Analysis plan and calendar for designated business partners.* Responsible for efficient and effective management of the annual research budget. Leads large cross-functional efforts in developing the marketing strategy and plans for high profile initiatives.* Performs industry and competitive analysis, market sizing and segmentation analysis, customer value proposition analysis, and customer experience analysis.* Identifies strategic priorities, collaborates with business partners to execute on the strategic plan, and evaluates performance to measure results.* Develops and implements metrics to report and monitor progress against goals.* Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.QualificationsRequires a BA/BS degree; 7-10 years experience in business development, marketing, marketing research and strategy; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Masters degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred.Cross-industry experience in both consumer focused industries such as pharmaceuticals or packaged goods, and health insurance or health-related industries preferred.
