The Peck School, a coed, K - 8, independent school in Morristown, NJ, seeks a full-time Woodworking Intern to work in partnership with our woodworking teacher, supporting all aspects of the production and teaching of woodworking in grades 3 through 8. This nine-month position presents an outstanding opportunity to gain experience and training with a master teacher with a well-established program. As an integral member of the faculty, this individual will participate in school duties, including recess, lunch, and proctoring.
The Woodworking Intern will have a baseline facility with woodworking and/or Making, along with demonstrated experience working with students in elementary and middle school. Independent initiative, a thirst for collaboration and team-oriented work, and a willingness to take on new challenges are musts.
This position provides full benefits, including medical insurance, and a salary of $30,000. Additional opportunities to earn supplemental income through coaching or afterschool instruction may also be available.
