DUAL RATE SUPERVISOR, POKER (On-call)
Assists in the supervision poker games and promotes customer development during assigned shifts. Promotes guidance for teamwork, encourages employee ideas and feedback, counsels, guides and instructs assigned personnel in proper performance of duties; recommends when training is needed; and specific duties; recommends changes in the department including hiring, promotion, and termination. Duties and Responsibilities: Accurately administer and oversee the operations of an assigned area.Oversee all Poker dealers as assigned. Maintains table chip trays and bank rolls. Effectively train and supervise Poker dealers to ensure proper procedures of Game Rules, Missouri Gaming Commission Regulations and the approved System of Internal Controls. Verify all table games transactions in assigned area. Track essential play and relay all pertinent information to Casino Operations Assistant Manager. May function as a Poker dealer as needed. Only one change in a job function will be permitted per shift and once a person has been assigned a different job function, that person must remain in that function for the remainder of the shift. A person shall not perform verification of his or her own work. Inspects gaming equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and security. Changes equipment as deemed necessary. The term management includes duties such as interviewing; training; selecting and adjusting rates of pay and hours of work; directing the work of employees; maintaining production; appraising employees' productivity and efficiency for purposes of recommending promotions or other changes (evaluations); handling employees' grievances and complaints; disciplining employees; planning work; providing for safety and security; and monitoring or implementing legal compliance matters.
Knowledge, Skills, & Education Preferred:Some college education in Business, Accounting, Marketing or related field.Must be able to oversee numerous monetary transactions with a high degree of accuracy.Must enjoy working with the public, which at times can get very demanding.Previous work experience in dealing with people.Previous supervisory experience preferred. Physical Requirements:Able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment. Must be Able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to respond to visual and oral signals. Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.
