The College of Engineering and Science at Louisiana Tech University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position to support the mission of its Institute for Micromanufacturing (IfM). We are especially interested in candidates with demonstrated research accomplishments in the fields of materials science and materials engineering, particularly machine learning applied to materials and/or manufacturing research. Opportunities exist for the ideal candidate to leverage state-wide resources being coordinated through a newly funded $20M five-year project (2020-2025) to establish the Louisiana Materials Design Alliance (LAMDA).
The IfM is a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment focused on innovations in multiscale materials, structures, devices and systems. In addition to scientific research, the IfM also includes in its mission the education and training to the next generation of scientists and engineers.
