This is a temporary, part-time position with hours ranging from 20-25 hours per week. There is the potential that this position may turn into a part-time or full-time position with benefits over time.Job Overview:This is a staff opportunity as an editor to work with a small team of dedicated editors to perform quality assurance reviews of all learning materials for a Fortune 500 company's learning organization.This position requires the individual to:* Conduct copy editing, functional testing, and other specialized reviews on learning materials including online training modules, videos, images, PDF files, PowerPoint files, and Word files.* Review, copy edit, and proofread documents to ensure they are grammatically correct, properly punctuated, correctly formatted, and of the highest quality* Apply appropriate style standards for the project and client* Test the functionality of online materials to ensure all materials function as designed* Communicate effectively with team members and clients* Work virtually, interfacing with team members and clients via email, instant messaging, virtual meetings, and telephoneQualifications Requirements:* Bachelor's degree in English, technical writing, journalism, or related field* Excellent writing and copy editing skills, following accepted rules of grammar, style, tone, and form that are appropriate for the audience* Extreme attention to accuracy* Experience adhering to common style guides* Strong facility with full Microsoft Office suite of applications, especially Word and PowerPoint; experience with HTML and SharePoint a plus* Ability to communicate clearly with clients* Ability to collaborate with team members to support each other's work and meet deadlines* Willingness to work a flexible schedule to respond to immediate team needsGP Strategies is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
