ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Work cross-functionally within the Commercial, Medical and Research functions. • Take a consultative role in supporting pre-launch strategy, product positioning, promotions, and post-launch strategy by sharing insights integrated from primary market research, secondary literature, competitive intelligence and secondary data. • Effectively communicate insights and lead meetings with commercial leaders and other cross functional business partners. • Lead, design and execute primary market research projects with HCPs and patients to gather and share actionable insights. • Develop, define and monitor key performance indicators for launch initiatives. • Understand patient epidemiology and inform assumptions for long-range and short-range forecasts. • Explore and create pathways for accessing information in the pre-launch, launch and post launch market and provide alternatives based on information and modify data based on course of action selected. • Develop and oversee execution of US Market Research including management of third parties associated with this function. • Attend key scientific congresses and summarize key insights from a scientific perspective focusing on novel treatment paradigms, mechanisms of action, and clinical trial landscape. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: • None EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Education: • Master's degree in related discipline and at least six years of related experience; or • BS/BA degree in related discipline and at least eight years of related experience; or • Equivalent combination of education and experience Experience: • Experience leading both qualitative and quantitative primary market research projects for marketed products, including but not limited to tracking studies (ATUs, Chart Audits), message/concept testing, and positioning research. • Experience in developing sound strategic partnerships with Brand, Sales and Market Access teams. • Experience using or interpreting secondary data sources including IMS, Claims, and patient-level data highly desirable. • Experience with pharma/biotech analytics, forecasting and business planning highly desirable. • Previous commercial experience in Brand, Sales or Market Access role highly desirable. • Previous launch experience is highly desirable. • Previous life cycle management and new product evaluation experience highly desirable. • Prior oncology experience is highly desired with specialty product experience as a minimum. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Leverage scientific training to evaluate and analyze scientific literature to develop perspective on evolving treatment landscapes. • Knowledge of multiple qualitative and quantitative market research methods. • Ability to consider multiple alternatives and provide complex scientific / clinical analyses of those alternatives in a clear and concise manner. • Ability to frame critical therapeutic area questions, identify information needs to answer those questions, and determine where to best search for primary and secondary information sources. • Knowledge about key market-shaping activities and how data can support success. • Effective presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written. • Excellent organizational, project management and problem-solving skills.
