Small Animal Veterinary Technician/Technologist
Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) invites applications for the full time position of
Small Animal Veterinary Technician/Technologist, College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). The Small Animal Veterinary Technician/Technologist reports to the CVM Executive Council and works close with faculty and staff of the CVM. This position involves working within the scope and guidelines of SACS and AVMA accrediting bodies as well as OSHA and USDA. This person will work closely with students and designated faculty and will assist in the supervision of lab and clinical activities for assigned courses and educational activities under the direction of the designated faculty. Preparation of these laboratories might include organization of resources including: faculty, animals, student groups, equipment for laboratory, and consumables for laboratories. The veterinary technician/technologist will be required to aid in set up labs, and properly clean, inventory and replace equipment. Qualifications; Required: A.S. or A.A.S. in Veterinary Medical Technology, current Tennessee license in the required discipline, in good professional standing. Preferred: Minimum of two years clinical experience in various settings, minimum of one year being an instructor in an associate degree level veterinary technology program or veterinary medical college.
