Wyoming Area School
District is accepting
applications for a Food
Service Director for the
remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. A one (1) year contract (10 month) is
available for the 2020-2021 school year. Position
available on or about April 15, 2020. Candidate must possess the following
qualifications: A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Food Service. Five years
experience in school food service or related field. All clearances as required by laws of United States, PA. and Wyoming Area School District. Current Serve Safe Certification required and/or equivalent sanitation and safety certification. Ability to communicate and deal
effectively with staff, school board, public, students,
parents, union and
administrators. Ability to
direct, hire, supervise and evaluate food service staff. Ability to use computer
effectively, point of sales programs, nutrition
programs, compass, direct certification and pa meals. Should be proficient in Word, Excel, Google Docs, and
familiar with CSIU, Quickbooks and Processing of Free/Reduced Meal
Applications. Ability to train employees on food service equipment, serving
receiving, storage, safety and sanitation compliance requirements. Access and navigate via CN Pears.
Prepare claims/forms for state and federal
reimbursements and reports as directed and required. Plan, comply with
applications, and implement and review all breakfast, lunch, ala carte and catering menus and needs. Required to possess a valid
driver’s license. Provide all necessary caterings
requested by District. Attend weekly and monthly
meetings, work sessions and school board meetings.
