Position Title Assistant Professor of Economics

The Undergraduate Faculty at the Assistant Professor level or above shall have the primary responsibilities of teaching, undergraduate, graduate on-ground and online courses, undergraduate and/or graduate committee work, research/creative achievement, recruitment and service functions and shall be held accountable for these obligations as they contribute to the attainment of the mission of the University, School of Business and the Department. The Undergraduate faculty person reports to the Chair, Undergraduate Programs of the School of Business.
Campus Harrogate Job Duty: Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, student s and to the community at large; Job Duty: promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students; Job Duty: must serve on dissertation committees as a member and/or dissertation chairperson; Job Duty: assist in the recruitment of undergraduate students to the undergraduate program, and other school of business programs; Job Duty: undertake the Standard Instructional/Research/Service Workload as outlined in the Faculty/Staff Policy Manual; Job Duty: provide course and classroom conduct as outlined in the Faculty/Staff Policy Manual; Job Duty: comply with the university Faculty/Staff Policy Manual; teach and be assigned undergraduate/and/or graduate courses based on course needs whether graduate or undergraduate programs; Job Duty: provide academic advisement of students; Job Duty: conduct office/conference hours; Job Duty: submit textbook requests; Job Duty: ensure School compliance with the standards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Accrediting Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP); Job Duty: comply with announced requirements; Job Duty: engage in professional development; Job Duty: support the development, implementation, evaluation and preparation of annual reports of the Strategic Plan as related to the Undergraduate Programs Department and academic program within the School; Job Duty: serve as mentor to undergraduate students, Job Duty: fulfill the University s scholarship expectation through research, publication, grant development, and creative achievement; Job Duty: provide information for enrollment, assessment, retention reports to the dean school of business as directed by the chair of undergraduate programs and dean of the school of business, Job Duty: provide committee service; Job Duty: attend department, school, and university faculty meetings; Job Duty: participate in community and public service opportunities; Job Duty: attend commencement activities; Job Duty: participate in annual faculty evaluation; Job Duty: complete required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University; Job Duty: perform other duties as assigned.
