The Office of Residence Life and Housing at the University of Mary Washington provides housing, programming, and related services for approximately 2600 students. General Description of Position:
The Residence Hall Facilities Coordinator supports the mission of RLH by ensuring that students are provided safe and clean residential facilities that are conducive to living and learning. This is achieved by conducting regular walk-throughs of all residential buildings, communicating daily any reported issues from students, parents, and staff to the appropriate persons and by performing any necessary followup with Facilities Management and residence hall staff. This position will also coordinate all furniture installations and use of our moving contractor as needed. The Residence Hall Facilities Coordinator will represent Residence Life and Housing at facilities related meetings, conduct relevant training for residence hall staff, and serve as primary contact for residence hall staff on facility related matters. The Coordinator will also assist with strategic planning efforts including short and long-term furniture assessment and replacement, housing operations procedural development, and budget review.

Knowledgeable about and sensitive to issues of student development, community, diversity and inclusion; demonstrated leadership abilities.
Preferred KSA's / Competencies/Qualifications to successfully perform the work
- Experience with database systems such as work order systems, housing management systems, or student database systems
- Experience with Banner 9, StarRez, and/or SchoolDude specifically
- Ability to analyze and solve problems in high pressure situations
Required Education - Bachelor Degree
- Experience working with college-aged students/young adults
- Experience working in a residence hall environment.
Preferred Education - Master’s Degree
- Experience working in an on-call capacity to respond to after-hours incidents
- Experience in assessing condition of physical spaces, furniture, and overall facilities
- Experience working for or in collaboration with a Facilities Management department
