The Manager, Member Development (MMD) is a sales leadership position that oversees a team of individual contributor lead generation roles focused on sourcing leads to appropriate products, councils, and centers. As a senior team member in lead development, the MMD will also be responsible for identifying new leads, sourcing leads, and facilitating discussions with c-suite executives around our products and services. Success in the position requires the person to possess strong leadership, organization, and management skills along with the ability to work under minimal supervision. This senior role requires multi-year success in the MDA role interacting with C-Suite executives, Program Directors, and internal stakeholders involved in the success of the Council/Center programs.

PRINCIPAL DIRECT ACTIVITIES:
Team Development / Management:
Lead team of individual contributors and ensure team reaches their individual attainment levels
Report on team KPIs including meetings, reply rate, sequence usage, and other performance measures
Train, coach, and develop team consistently throughout the year
Interview and hire new talent that will fit the culture and level of achievement appropriate for the MDA team
Research and identify potential leads for the Member Development Account Executives, determining the best strategy to gain entry to a company
Manage the outreach strategy around several Focus Councils
Send emails, follow ups, and make phone calls to schedule appointments for the Member Development Account Executives including confirming all appointments
Be able to have an initial conversation about The Conference Board membership, products and services
Ensures that the sales contacts are professional, effective and appropriate for facilitating the companys involvement with TCB
Pull relevant lead reports consistently and per request of Member Development Account Executives, and then further qualifying and researching those leads
Enters notes into CRM and database and maintains accuracy of information in all systems affiliated with the lead generation process
Strategy, Vision, and Leadership
Actively involved in lead development strategy sessions by providing input and feedback to the Director, Member Development Operations
Works independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders around The Conference Board to ensure needs are met for the Member Development Team
Bachelors Degree required
3+ years experience in sales support, lead generation, or business development at a high degree of proficiency and attainment (exceeding quota and performance measures consistently a must)
Experience working directly with high-level executives in a business development capacity
Experience in management, training, coaching, performance evaluation strongly desired
Knowledge of Sandler sales training is a plus
Ability to commute into NYC office several days per week
