Directs and oversees strategy and resources associated with the use of technology and systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides strategic vision and leadership of the department or team that is responsible for troubleshooting and developing software used by Client Accounting Services and Real Estate Management teams. Acts as a subject matter expert for technology for clients represented by CBRE.
Directs the continuous review and analysis of systems at a national and global level and processes related to delivery of services to external clients. Responsible for identifying areas of focus and allocating resources to applicable projects. Develops and implements departmental internal controls, financial policies and procedures.
Plans, implements, and controls multiple department projects. Ensures that project plans are executed within cost and time constraints. Reports project performance and status to upper management.
Develops and maintains relationship with technology vendors. Ensures that contracts are in place and that all commitments made in contract are achieved by the vendor.
Serves as a member of the sales team representing a business line in the pursuit of new business. Develops responses to RFPs and attends and participates in sales pitches to present technology solutions.
Prepares and maintains annual department budgets. Reviews various financial reports, department reports, and other accounting documents for accuracy. Communicates interpretation of reports to upper management.
Leads platform implementation on new client transitions. Ensures proper resources are allocated to the transition and has connection with the external client to validate service delivery expectations. Ensures all transitions follow best practices as defined in CBRE Global Operating Standards.
Oversees the financial performance of platforms through budgeting, analysis and interpretation of business trends.
Establishes and maintains service level expectations for support of our standard technology platform. Coordinates system strategy with field management, accounting, other client support groups and senior business leaders. Evaluates current and proposed systems and procedures, implementing changes as needed to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services to CBRE employees and clients.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or Master's degree in a related field of work or equivalent work experience. Typically has 10-15 years of related experience and/or training. A minimum of 8 years of progressive management experience.CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES Lean Six Sigma Green, Orange or Black Belt certification preferred. Project management training and/or certification preferred.COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates.
