Preparation (and review if prepared by offshore personnel) of state tax apportionment, MEG/SEGs (internal consolidated and separate state filing guides), state modifications, and elite and high priority state tax returns. Potentially some preparation responsibilities for Federal book/tax adjustments. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are needed to perform necessary analytical review and reconciliations. This role may also include participation on certain Tax Accounting and Compliance (TAC) projects which likely would be focused in the state tax apportionment and modification areas. The candidate will have direct communication with associates with varying levels of experience throughout the enterprise (Corporate Tax, Finance, Technology, Operations, etc.) and with service providers, so great communication and teamwork skills are critical to success. Some overtime required.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelors Degree or higher
4 + years of public accounting firm or industry experience
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to analyze US GAAP accounting and tax laws
Extensive experience with MS Excel
Ability to multitask and prioritize work load in a dynamic environment in order to meet internal and external deadlines
Strong time management skills
