The purpose of this position is to supervise the landscape staff and ensures that the condition and appearance of grounds, plants and foliage for assigned properties/facilities is maintained.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises and plans work schedules for landscape staff.
Works with outside contractors to implement landscaping plans for buildings and existing properties.
Submits estimates and proposals for all new tenant projects.
Ensures landscape operations are conducted within budget.
Maintains positive tenant relations through project efficiency, problem resolution and requirement fulfillment.
Conducts regular site inspections and assesses landscape conditions.
Other duties as assigned.
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required. Training in horticulture and experience in general landscaping preferred.
Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Certified landscape technician. Commercial pesticide applicator's license preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Excellent supervisory and organizational skills. Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
Able to sustain excessive physical activity for extensive periods of time.
