Two positions available
This position provides functional and empirical analysis related to the planning, design, installation, and implementation of the Auburn University wired and wireless data network.
Responsibilities include basic and custom configurations of edge and core systems, leading various network projects, monitoring network performance, resolving network problems, working with end users and installing network equipment.
This position will require in depth practical knowledge of electronic shop methods, procedures and tools as well as current computer and networking technologies to include switches, routers, wireless access points, wireless controllers and both wired and wireless LANs and WANs.
The successful candidate will be a highly self-motivated person who is capable of performing with limited supervision and possesses exceptional creativity and advanced communication and interpersonal skills.

Entry into the applicant pool requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five (5) or more years of experience in design, evaluation, modification, testing, repair and maintenance of data networks.
Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience.
Level IV has an average starting salary range between $55,000 and $65,000.
Consideration for Level V requires a Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience in the areas referenced above.
Level V has an average starting salary range between $60,000 and $75,000.
