Patient Care Technician, Certified
Department: BEHAVIORIAL HEALTH - TAKOMA
Schedule: Full Time
Will provide direct patient care and supportive services to nursing unit under registered nurse supervision. Will complete all education and training requirements. Routine Responsibilities: Bedside patient care, Routine nursing assistant procedures, Stocking supplies, Maintaining equipment, Routine housekeeping duties as needed, Basic computer skills for documentation of care & procedures performed and for training and education needs and Transport patients as necessary.
High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Certificate (GED or HISET) or confirmation of three years of experience in hospital/medical setting. C.N.A. certification required. Experience in a healthcare setting required.
C.N.A. certification required.
CPR is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS.
