Local Government Information Systems (LOGIS), a consortium of 57 governmental entities headquartered in Golden Valley, Minnesota, is seeking a technology leader with success impacting client solutions from start to finish to be its next Director of Application Development and Support.
The Director is responsible for all aspects of development and support for assigned applications, including architecture, development methodologies, technologies, and testing. The position manages a staff of thirteen developers and technical support staff and oversees vendors and consultants.
The Director of Application Development and Support requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Science, Information Technology, Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university and extensive experience in software development and enhancements, directing user support, and solutions architecture. Qualified candidates will demonstrate significant Microsoft solutions architecture knowledge and have considerable experience supervising employees and providing work direction. Equivalent education and experience will be considered. Knowledge in the use of various computer software packages, such as Visual Studio.Net and Microsoft SQL server is a plus.
The anticipated starting salary for this position is $130,000 - $140,000, DOQ. LOGIS also provides a very attractive vacation and sick leave package. Relocation is negotiable.
